Museum Information
CANDLES is a place to reflect and learn; guests should conduct themselves accordingly. We suggest that guests dress in an appropriate fashion, showing respect to the subject matter.
CANDLES politely asks visitors not to bring backpacks and large handbags to the museum. All bags will be searched by museum security. No firearms, ammunition, knives, or other weapons are allowed. Thank you for helping to keep the museum safe for all visitors, employees, and volunteers.

CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center is currently open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time
Admission Fee:
General admission: $7.00 per person
Group rate (10 or more guests with a reservation* made 48 hours prior to visit): $5.00 per person
Any student with ID: $5.00
ISU students with ID, children age 6 and under, veterans: free admission

* Museum material is appropriate for middle school grades, age twelve (12) and older.
We do not recommend bringing children under the age of six (6) years old.
For ages 7 - 11, we recommend that parents, guardians, and educators talk with children ahead of time and then take cues from the child before and during their visit - both emotionally and cognitively.
Our museum is self-guided with docents available to offer more information and answer questions. The average tour time is about 2 hours to view the museum in its entirety.
Museum Parking Information
For Cars: Parking is available at the museum, but parking spaces are limited. There is available street parking next to the museum on South 4th Street.
