"Be a Ripple of Light” Student Contest
CANDLES founder and Holocaust survivor Eva Kor lived by four life lessons.

Your Task:
Select one of Eva Kor’s life lessons and one medium to explore and express how ONE of Eva’s lessons have impacted your life, your perspective, your values, or your actions. Your submission should demonstrate thoughtful reflection, creativity, and a meaningful connection to Eva’s Life Lessons.
All submissions must include a letter to the selection committee (250-500 words) introducing yourself (name, school, grade, and age), explaining your connection to Eva's Life Lessons or this project, and providing context for your submission.
Mediums:
- Writing and Literary Arts: Literary entries are limited to 1,000 words.
- Personal Essay
- Creative Nonfiction (memoir-style storytelling based on real experiences)
- Forgiveness Letter
- Poetry (single poem or collection)
- Visual Arts
- Drawing, Painting, or Mixed Media Artwork
- Sculpture or 3D Art
- Photography series with captions
- Digital Art of Graphic Design
- Action Based Projects
- Service Project (participate in and document a project that impacts your community)
- Awareness Campaign ( School initiative, or community outreach project)
