2026 Gdansk Trip - June 2026

Coming June 20-28 2026: Explore the Origins of WWII with CANDLES

Join us for an unforgettable journey to Gdańsk, Poland—the “official” starting point of World War II—and the historic Westerplatte Peninsula. Our itinerary includes a day trip to the Wolf’s Lair, the Nazi command center where much of the war was planned, and a moving visit to Stutthof Concentration Camp, where survivor Mickey Kor was once imprisoned. We’ll also explore the impressive Malbork Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and dive into powerful exhibits at the WWII Museum.

The experience continues with a visit to the Solidarity Center and Lenin Shipyard, where the 1980 anti-authoritarian movement began, reshaping Eastern Europe. Along the way, we’ll take in the coastal charm of the Baltic Sea—maybe even dip our toes in the water and enjoy a sweet treat. This meaningful trip is more than a tour; it’s a journey through memory, resilience, and the enduring lessons of history.
